Public Building. Alcorcón, Madrid. SPAIN. Project 2019
To mark the rise of the Alcorcon’s Sports Association to the Spanish Silver Football League, it was decided by the municipality of Alcorcon to build a new football stadium to host the team’s friendly games as well as larger events. A sports complex was to be built that is capable of seating 8000 spectators based on a design that is modern, efficient and consistent with ‘Football Architecture’, whilst taking into account how important this enclosure will be as a media component and as an image ambassador for that locality.
We also cannot ignore the massive influence this sport has as the most important sport in public conscience and must ensure an icon in the locality.
