Alcorcón. Madrid. SPAIN. Built 2009
The remodelling project of one of the main squares in Alcorcon offers an adequate solution and easily merges with the on-going expansion of the City Hall.
Given that this is a vital space with great importance to the city, the architectural quality was sought in the materials, with a special focus on the city’s landmark, the old City Hall. Other factors to consider included making sure that it was as accessible as it could possibly be, eliminating any architectural barriers, incorporating the project with the renovation of the City Hall and last but not least the importance of the economical credibility of the project.
