Urban plan. Gibraleón, Huelva, SPAIN. Contest 2007
AWARDS. 1st prize
Throughout the development of a plan to remodel the existing building, it was concluded that to reduce costs it would be important to construct a large open air parking area. Therefore, enough lateral space was left in order to ensure a ring for the Square whi le the excavation took place. The decision allows the use of native trees already planted without having to resort to building a green area around the parking.
It was also decided that the commercial building should have as much area as possible in order to reduce costs. This then results in the premises being built on the basement floor and 1st floor.
