Interior. Madrid, SPAIN. Built 2019
It is a reform of an apartment, situated in « Torres Blancas » – an emblematic building of Madrid. Over the years the flat has endured numerous reforms, that resulted into the fragmentation of spaces and the destruction of the original distribution.
The solution was to create a continuous and fluid space with fragments of the recovered original details. In order to achieve it, and to highlight the curved shape of the building itself, the entire distribution of interior spaces, floors and ceilings, follow the path of a continous curve. Not to take attention from volumetry itself, the palette of the colours and materials, used for the finishings, where narrowed down to neutral tones – the grey colour of microcement, natural oak wood and white colour, used on different textures. The outcome is a countinous set of spaces, organised around a central garden, which is present in each of them.
